Perimeter Watch

I've found the secret trail of that little chipmunk

who taunts me with his chirps

and leaves his acorn trash on my front steps.

One morning soon I will surprise him.

Quiet Mornings

on the porch.

Waiting for my friend the bumble bee to pass by so we can say hi,

while protecting marigolds and pinks 

from marauding chipmunks.
