Shade

Linger in the cool spots
when the late summer heat is turned up.

Catching rain drops

on my tongue.

HOT

The hotter the day the longer the tongue.

Lavender in Winter

Even in winter the lavender bush

retains the sweet memory of summer.
I visit it on my every trip out.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice

Today join the Druids and celebrate

the wedding of heaven and earth.

As the sun spirals its longest dance

Cleanse us

As nature shows bounty and fertility

Bless us

Let all things live with loving intent

And to fulfill their truest destiny

After the rain

I stop and smell the flowers.

Iris are the apple of my eye.

Dear sweet deep blue summer

so soft beneath my feet

I savour our days together.
