Watch the roof line
It will unexpectedly dump an ice berg bigger than you.
But it's worth navigating the hazards for the view.

Dog Psalm #26
"Watch your thoughts, they become your words.
Watch your words, they become your actions.
Watch your actions, they become your habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
It's a sentiment that can't be said too often.

Dog Psalm #25
You will hear it
whispering your truth.
whispering your truth.
Gather all your strength.
Pick up your head and honor it.
Pick up your head and honor it.

Sewing Project
First there is the fabric selection and layout
Then all the considerations, measurements
and adjustments needed for an excellent fit,
followed by the patience to put it all together.
Wha-la. An "after bathrobe" for a small furry friend!

Dog Psalm #24
Ten thousand flowers in spring,
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter -
if your mind is not clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.

Short is Good
Finally it is February.
And while this is the shortest month of the year
it is certainly not short on history or action.
February is jam packed with auspicious birthdays:
baseball great Babe Ruth, poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,
president Abraham Lincoln, astronaut John Glenn, Jr
and The Boy Scouts of America to name just a few.
It's library lover's month and chocolate lovers month.
February hosts Valentine's Day and President's Day
and tomorrow is Ground-Hog Day.
I declare today as Dog Hog Day.
I went outside and saw my shadow.
That means I will hog a full side of the bed
until the end of winter.
