Killing Frost

I'm looking forward to a hard, killing frost.

There have been tons of ticks around.
A hard frost will kill them off.

You don't see any ticks on me now do you?

Sunflower Seed

It looked like a sunflower seed above my eye.

But it was a dreaded wood tick.

Still snow on the ground and already with the ticks.

In focus it looks pretty ghastly. 

This fuzzy photo just gives you a sense of the irritation.

But I'm strong - I let them dig around 
for the head with tweezers and a pin.

And now I'm wearing Frontline - the canine Chanel.
