Pinecone Pets

Even the woodland creatures have pets.

Because everybody needs a friend 

who is steadfast, loyal and true.

I believe

in fairies. 

They dance on the window sill when you are not looking.

They are bashful and will dart away if you try and stare at them.

But once you sense they are near

 

you can see them in your mind's eye

and the outfits they would wear...
