After the storm

the sky is an abstract painting.
The cloud swirls hardly hint at the darkness and power
that has so recently passed through.

Dog Psalm #53

The storm does what it must outside.
The plants have come inside for shelter.
This is Eden.

I sense bad weather approaching.
Her name is Irene.

Sometimes its joy, sometimes its an itch
that gets me going.
I rather like spinning, until I get dizzy.

Dog Psalm #52

Before I rise for the day
I contemplate those things that are torn apart
and with neither shame nor blame
I reach my paw towards reconciliation.

No, thank you

When I stick my tongue out, its my equivalent of a thumbs down.
But as you know I don't have thumbs.
So I do the best I can with what I have.

Other Dogs

My what skinny legs they have.
I hope they feel okay.
When I graze on grass I'm always feeling a little off.

Self knowledge is enlightening.
Explore your soul.

I can change the channels all by myself!
What does pay-per-view mean?

Dog Psalm 49

Give of and to yourself.
Small kindnesses,
like a much needed rain,
revive the parched soul.
Rest is a gift.

I was thinking about doing yoga.
And then I thought
thinking about yoga might be meditation.
I'm a natural at this stuff.

Bit of a Bout

I've had a touch of the hurlies,
mean tummy and all that.
But my medicine seems to be working.
And Dear Dr. Spooner called to see how I'm doing
and added some pro-biotic to my recovery regime.
Bless her.
I don't know why but being sick
makes me want to talk like I'm British.
A cuppa sounds nice.
