Nodding Off Near the Culture Cliff

Oh! Is the movie over?

I thought they might never stop their insipid yapping.
Why did I think Funny People would be funny?
I should know better by now.

Snow is Joy

Surrounding, abounding Joy.
Joy covering every thing -
every sorrow, every hurt
every branch and blade of grass.
Floating and piling,
pelting out Joy.
In crunchy steps,
That quiet hush,
The sloshy slush,
Announcing, insisting on Joy.
Snow is a shower of
Grace or Forgiveness.
Presenting us with
new realities,
perspectives and possibilities.
SNOW

How I Love Thee.

Furry flurry of Activity

I am moving at the

speed of

light.
It's not easy keeping up with Santa's elves.

We let the Wind

harvest for us.
All we must do is
be alert and pay attention,
with open minds and empty pockets,
as we roam
each day
through our
wondrous, bountiful
neighborhood.
Most of the wind's offerings
I recognize
as delicious treats. I seek crunch and tang.

She sees them as

pieces of a whole being
bodies, arms, heads, eyes
"the sum is more than the whole"

She seeks to
sustain transformational change.

I seek
the pattern of snacks,
and panting, patter, prancing of
the good life.
Each new day's greatness is up to you.
What do you seek? How do you choose?

Word Travels

Owl overheard Squirrel telling Penguin.
Penguin then confided in the Reindeer.
And then that blabby Penguin
got Rabbit and Mouse caught up.
Do you believe it? asked Mouse
I'm not sure that I do confessed Rabbit.

Then the Acorn Lady set the record straight.

WHO KNEW
word could travel so fast?

Curb your Enthusiasm

That's what the people tell me.
They also say that it's fine to be
marking, marking, marking all the time.

If I use good manners.
The curbside strip is best.  The gutter even better.
PLEASE no gifts by cars!

HEY!
I'm happy to oblige.
Maybe you'll notice and want me to play in your fenced back yard.
A little water would be good.
Might you have any KaChewKees to share?
Oops. Too much enthusiasm?
