How very true - one of our past canine friends, a labrador, hated crossing bridges. When we finally persuaded her that it was safe, she developed two modes of crossing - full gallop, or the slowest pace ever contemplated by a lab! She was a puppy at the time, and alas, we had to leave her behind when we returned to the UK - but she's still part of our family in memory - and photo collage in our living room!
